This 90-minute session is for participants who have a foundation in culturally competent and humble practice and want to continue their growth into cultural responsiveness. During the session, attendees will gain an understanding of the nuances between cultural competence, cultural humility, and cultural responsiveness and how they shape interactions within organizations and communities. Attendees will also learn how integrating a culturally responsive lens into the development of policies, practices, and processes can strengthen community relationships and promote desired outcomes. They will walk away with practical strategies for engaging communities in a culturally responsive manner, particularly within the context of nutrition education programs. The training is facilitated by Patrilie Hernandez of Embody Lib, a community platform and consulting practice that supports People of the Global Majority in reclaiming their health and well-being through education, advocacy, and community.
