Lessons are taught 3 times per week for 12 or 24 weeks; 3 sessions per lesson by a trained coach mentor. The K-8th grade curriculum introduces soccer to children, while also providing them and their families with the tools they need to make healthy lifestyle decisions. The program supports children in improving their physical health, increasing their knowledge about healthy lifestyles, and improving their self-esteem and behavior.

Lesson plans align to education standards and support SEL competencies. Includes "brain breaks" to incorporate physical activity. Importance of eating food-group foods, beverages, healthy snacks, importance of breakfast, and farm to you. Curriculum is free to California teachers. Available in digital and in print.

Healthy Choices in Motion is part of the Shaping Healthy Choices Program. Healthy Choices in Motion allows students to explore a comprehensive set of physical activity concepts, including the benefits of physical activity, recommendations across the lifespan, the five components of physical fitness, why doing a variety of physical activity is important, and what being physical activity means to you. Cooking Skills and World Cuisine is designed to increase nutrition knowledge, culinary skills, liking of vegetables, vegetable consumption, and communication about healthy eating between students and families. Each lesson explores a different country’s cuisine and teaches young chefs how to follow a recipe, prepare and cook ingredients, and leave the kitchen as clean as they found it. Students that have completed the Cooking Skills and World Cuisine program are able to cook a balanced healthy meal that includes whole grains, lean protein, fruits, and vegetables.
