Fostering Nourished Families is a training curriculum focused on supporting kinship/foster/resource parents to nourish foster children. Materials and lesson plans are appropriate for adult caregivers of foster children. Instructor Guides offered in English, participant materials available. Evaluation tools available and facilitator training required.

KickinNutrition.TV is an innovative, digital program designed to educate, entertain, and empower kids to make healthier food and lifestyle choices! KickinNutrition.TV features engaging videos and interactive learning tools designed for urban, inner-city youth and their families. The program utilizes comedy, hip music, and engaging research-based, peer-to-peer nutrition instruction and cooking demonstrations. The program is aligned with CC standards by grade.

Lessons are taught 3 times per week for 12 or 24 weeks; 3 sessions per lesson by a trained coach mentor. The K-8th grade curriculum introduces soccer to children, while also providing them and their families with the tools they need to make healthy lifestyle decisions. The program supports children in improving their physical health, increasing their knowledge about healthy lifestyles, and improving their self-esteem and behavior.

A 9 week curriculum to help students improve eating and fitness choices. Focuses on behavioral strategies, uses computer technology for diet assessment and guided goal setting. Students practice skills for active lifestyle, healthy food choices. $20 purchase of teachers guide and $20 purchase of 10 pack of student workbooks. 7 lesson programs (45-60 minutes each) separate curriculum for each grade aligns with Education Standards. Pre- and post-assessments provided. 4th Grade: food groups, nutrients, Nutrition Facts Label, serving sizes, balanced meals, healthy choices. 5th Grade: healthy food and PA choices, serving sizes, analyzing advertisements, balanced meals, good choices at restaurants. Curriculum is free to California teachers.

14 lessons with PowerPoints.
5 core lessons identified by Drexel University Nutrition Education Program.  These lessons should be taught in the following sequence:
• Build a Healthy Plate
• Fast Food: Figuring Out the Facts
• Choosing Healthy Beverages
• Calcium and Vitamin D
• Understanding Energy Balance  
The remaining lessons can be taught as time allows.

The five core lessons have been adapted for the virtual environment.
